The exhibition “The Gold of Venissa, Sculpture pays homage to Architecture”, organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Gianmaria Potenza by the Paolo Rizzi Cultural Association and curated by President Rina Dal Canton, celebrates a milestone and an extraordinary artistic career recognized around the world.

 

Gold of Venissa thus inaugurates a year full of events. The festivities will continue with exhibitions in Rome, Milan and New York to end in 2017 with a major exhibition in Venice.

 

Until October 30, 2016, visitors can immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of the Venissa Estate on the island of Mazzorbo and admire the works of the sculptor through a picturesque route through the Dorona vineyards.

 

The exhibition, as the title says, also celebrates the opening of the 15th Biennale of Architecture. Indeed, Potenza has always dialogued with architecture, through a conception of space that goes beyond the traditional distinctions between painting and sculpture.

 

The art show is patronised by the Veneto Region, the City of Venice, the Laguna Cultural Association, Venezia Nativa and ArteForte. It’s also sponsored by the Venissa Estate and by the winery Bisol.
