Saturday 9th February 2019 at 5.00 pm, in collaboration with the Museum of Sant’Agostino in Genoa, the Art Commission presents the solo exhibition of Gianmaria Potenza entitled
“KOSMOS. Gianmaria Potenza. L’Ordine delle Forme”.
The exhibition, curated by Virginia Monteverde, takes place on the various floors of the Museum. On display, there are over one hundred works by the Venetian artist: bronzes, glass, marble, until his latest experiments with glass and polystyrene.

 

“Each work is an alphabet of moving symbols where the rigid geometries of the square, the circle, and the triangle, challenge the sphere, the spiral and the pyramid; they play, intertwine, and come together, they create new rules to build sophisticated architectures with a fantastic taste.” (Bettina Bush)

 

“The exhibition held in the Museo di Sant’Agostino it’s like giving new life to an ancient route – from Venice to Genoa. It revives a bond that was – I do not hide it –  also very conflictual and that however marked the centuries from the Middle Ages onwards. A liquid bond, and therefore changeable; sometimes harsh and frowning, sometimes placid and flowing. A link also made of cultural exchanges, which are the ones that interest us here, without forgetting that ideas also travel with men and goods “(Adelmo Taddei, Director of the Sant’Agostino Museum)

The exhibition will be open until 10th March, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
